Per a a reply to my forum post on Kindleboards, Amazon may be opening a Kindle DX textbook store on or around July 1st. In response to my complaint about finding Kindle textbooks, another user replied that the new textbook store was mentioned in a response to their inquiry to one of the textbook publishers. They (Amazon) currently have a textbook store for physical books, but its hard to find a Kindle copy there. It will be interesting to see if this textbook store is under the Kindle listings or if they will augment the current textbook store to include a Kindle category.
Per the May 6th announcement: “Textbooks under the following brands will be available: Addison-Wesley, Allyn & Bacon, Benjamin Cummings, Longman & Prentice Hall (Pearson); Wadsworth, Brooks/Cole, Course Technology, Delmar, Heinle, Schirmer, South-Western (Cengage); and Wiley Higher Education.”
