This is a running list with applications I sideload to my Fire and the results. I will add to the list as needed. If you have any requests, let me know. Cordless app transfer instructions are below the list.

I installed Astro on my app source devices which are my G2 phone or Galaxy Tab
and Easy Installer on my Kindle Fire. Then installed Dropbox all of them. The Dropbox Fire installation was done transferring the file using a USB.
Once the two apps are in place, you no longer need the USB. When you backup an app with Astro, go to the Astro Home Page and select File Manager. You will find your APK files in the backup>apps directory. A long press on the app will bring up a menu. When you select Send from the menu, Dropbox is one of your options. When the upload is complete, select it from the Dropbox app on the Fire. It will prompt you to install when the download is complete.
Do you have a link to the “any file shortcut” program. I cant seem to find it? Thanks!
The Any File Shortcut program is on the Android Marketplace. I was able to get it because I have an Android phone. Contact me privately via the Contact Us page on this site and I will be happy to email it to you for Dropbox installation.

I don’t have a droid and am having trouble locating a Yahoo Fantasy Football Apo or app file to sideload onto my KF. Can anyone help?
Any luck trying to get a different keyboard app? I tried snagging Thumb Keyboard from the app store but its not listed for my Fire.
None whatsoever. I’m going to keep trying though.
FYI, for banking: The ING Direct app sideloaded fine!
