For M-edge covers, the difference in pricing is due to leather vs. synthetic leather (I have synthetic and it is nice), only the Platform covers stand up and the Prodigy covers have the same hinge system as the Amazon covers.  All M-edge covers (with the exception of the GO! covers) which open like a book have extra space on the binding to allow you to fit the e-Luminator booklight (currently sold out).
